All eyes were on Tiger Woods

Waste Management is using four CNG trucks to transport the waste and recycled materials collected during the tournament. These clean-burning CNG trucks emit 95% less particulate matter and 90% less carbon monoxide than comparable diesel-fueled vehicles.

Vendor education is key to the success of our green initiatives. Our Sustainability Services team has worked diligently with vendors to track inventories, inputs and outputs, and to source recyclable and compostable materials.

Water Reuse
and conservation

In our "greywater" initiative, we're rerouting drain water from the kitchens, laundries and hospitality areas for use in the portable restrooms. Last year this effort saved thousands of gallons of fresh water.

Creating the Greenest Show on Grass even extended to our hospitality tent on 18 - where guests could sit back, relax and enjoy the renewable future.

There are numerous "Recycling Stations" in high-traffic areas staffed with "Recycling Ambassadors" who can answer questions about how to recycle and compost.
