Many items that cannot be collected as part of curbside garbage collection, yard waste collection, or special garbage collection services may be dropped off at the South Wake Sanitary Landfill or the North Wake Multi-Materials Facility. There is no charge to Wake County residents provided that the materials are taken in a non-commercial, single axle vehicle.

Recycling Note

The average office worker uses the paper equivalent of an entire tree every year! Making paper from recycled material requires 60% less energy than making paper from virgin tree stock, so finding ways to substitute recycled materials for virgin tree stock makes a lot of sense.
