When you toss something in the garbage, it’s taken to a landfill or incinerator. Much of the waste could be reused, recycled, repurposed or composted.
Landfills and incinerators are expensive and what we can do to reduce the amount of trash helps reduce the economic and environmental costs of disposal. The City publishes information about recycling, water conservation and other useful sustainable living practices twice a year. Below are the latest Living Green guides for your reference.
