Waste Management Fremont

Always very difficult to deal with.

I recently moved into Newark and love the community. Dealing with Waste Management in clearly the worst part about living in Alameda County or maybe it's just Newark that is bad. Coming San Jose we had Waste Management their too and seemed easier to deal them.

When we first bought the house I ordered a 14 yard dumpster since we were doing a bathroom renovation. There are so many rules they impose on what you can and cannot put in the dumpster. For 1 week with the dumpster in the driveway it was $250, but then was charge an additional $75 for unacceptable waste. Everything we had put in the bin was contruction waste as I told them it would be, but I guess one of my neighbors could have put stuff in there when nobody was looking. Or more likely is that Waste Management already had my $250 and charged me the $75 because they already had my card on file.

Most recently I took down a hedge 9' H x 20' L x 6' W and I put it out on the street for pickup as I normally did in San Jose. Everything is cut to less the 4' and stacked nicely on the street. When I called for the bulk green waste pickup I was informed of the strict rules to have everything bundled or bagged. The other rule is that if I put out more waste than allowed I will be charged. What is allowed is 9' W x 3' H 3' L.
