Regardless of your company's size or industry we can create a custom waste pickup program that meets your needs and helps protect the environment.

Commercial Recycling

To conserve diminishing landfill space and natural resources, California adopted Assembly Bill 341 (Mandatory Commercial Recycling), which sets a Statewide recycling goal of 75% and mandates recycling in the commercial sector. Effective July 1, 2012 businesses that produce at least 4 cubic-yards of trash a week and multi-family dwellings with 5 units or more must participate in recycling through subscribing to recycling service or self-hauling recyclables to an approved facility.

On average, about 60% of all the garbage we throw away is recyclable. Recycling is an easy way to go green. If your business or building doesn’t have a recycling program, you’re missing out on an easy opportunity to conserve natural resources, save valuable landfill space and possibly reduce your trash bill.

Waste Management is pleased to provide commercial recycling services for Palmdale businesses at no additional cost. This recycling service can help your business comply with State Assembly Bill 341. If you are not sure how to get started, a Recycling Coodinator is available to assist you with recycling outreach and information. For more information, contact Customer Service.

Commercial Organic Waste Recycling

To reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and increase landfill diversion, California adopted Assembly Bill 1826 (Mandatory Commercial Organics Waste Recycling), which requires businesses and multi-family housing complexes to recycle their organic waste. Effective April 1, 2016 businesses that produce at least 8 cubic-yards of trash a week and multi-family dwellings with 5 units or more must participate in organic waste recycling through subscribing to recycling service or self-hauling recyclables to an approved facility.

Waste Management is pleased to offer commercial organic waste recycling services for Palmdale businesses. This recycling service can help your business comply with the new State Assembly Bill 1826. If you are not sure how to get started, a Recycling Coordinator is available to assisst you with organic recycling outreach and information. For more information, contact Customer Service.

Construction & Demolition Recycling (C&D)

To meet stringent State of Calfornia diversion requirements, new building projects are required to recycle 50% of all Construction & Demolition (C&D) debris and inert materials. You will need to be able to provide proof of the recycling to building officials. Waste Management is proud to offer C&D diversion service, saving builders time and effort while protecting them from penalties. Under this program, Waste Management can recycle up to 80% of a project’s C&D waste including: aluminum and other metals, asphalt, concrete, plastic, rebar, steel and wood.
