Welcome to Waste Management

The City of Redmond has partnered with Waste Management of Washington, Inc. to provide curbside collection of garbage, recycling and yard/food waste for all residents and businesses.
Redmond residents have weekly collection for garbage, recycling and yard / food waste.
If your container(s) were at the curb by 6:00 am and were not emptied, please report a missed collection by clicking here or call 1 800 592-9995 (M-F 7 AM - 5 PM, SAT 9 AM - 1 PM).
Waste Management observes three annual holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas (Dec 25), and New Year's Day (Jan 1). All other holidays will not affect your collection schedule.

Weekday holidays will delay collection by one day for the remainder of the week. For example, if a holiday falls on a Thursday, Thursday customers will be collected on Friday and Friday customers will be collected on Saturday.

Cooking Oil Recycling

Ever wonder what to do with leftover cooking oil?

Please transport cool cooking oil in a plastic jug with a secure twist-on lid. Remember to use a jug that allows for easy pouring into the on-site collection tank. Please pour oil slowly and carefully into the on-site collection tank to avoid splatter, and take containers home to retain this free public service. (Empty jugs can be rinsed out and recycled at home.)

Seattle-based General Biodiesel will collect and convert the cooking oils into eco-friendly, sustainable fuel.

The City of Redmond enters into new solid waste contract with Waste Management!
Thank you Redmond! We have been providing recycling and garbage services to the City of Redmond for many years and are thrilled to be continuing our longstanding sustainability partnership. We look forward to providing year-round weekly yard waste service for residents and an increase in the volume of recycling offered at no additional charge for multi-family and commercial customers, up to 200 percent the volume of garbage service.
