Waste Management Pay Online

Residential curbside automated collection; carts are provided by Waste Management.

• Limits: The contents of the cart only.
• Good advice: Bag your garbage, it helps keep the environment free from litter and keeps your cart cleaner.
• Placement: Please place your carts on the curb with the lid opening towards the street no later than 7:00 am.
• Additional carts: Available for a nominal fee.

HELP IS AT HAND:

Waste Management contributes, annually, a lump sum amount to the City of Rio Rancho for low-income assistance for payment of solid waste fees.

These funds are administered by Storehouse West. Waste Management urges all who qualify to take advantage of these funds.

Note: If your household's income is low and it is a struggle to pay your Waste Management bill, help is available through Storehouse West, a Rio Rancho non-profit organization under contract with the City.

Call Storehouse West at 505/892-2077 during office hours to learn more, Mondays & Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 12 :00 PM and 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Wednesdays from 12:00 noon to 4:30 p.m.

Acceptable items

Yard Waste

Waste Management offers a Residential Yard Waste Collection Program twice a year on a specified week which has been agreed upon by the City and Waste Management. There is no charge for this program. Watch for this information in the Waste Management newsletter.

Such collection shall be by appointment only and each participating household shall be limited to ten (10) bags or bundles of such yard waste, which shall be placed curbside on the scheduled pick up day. No trees or tree stumps will be accepted during this collection. Tumbleweeds would have to be bagged. Bags or bundles will not exceed fifty (50) pounds in weight. Bundles shall be securely tied and in lengths not longer than four (4) feet.
