NOBODY BEATS OUR PRICES!

The tip fee (cost for disposal) at the YCRRC is $59 per ton.

Hours for Public Waste Acceptance:

Waste is accepted from residents Monday through Friday from 8:00AM until 4:00PM and on Saturday from 8:00AM until noon.

The tipping fee is the cost per ton charged to a waste hauler to dispose of waste at the York County Resource Recovery Center. The $59 per ton represents the cost to provide York County with a total integrated solid waste management system.

This includes providing the most environmentally responsible waste management system, as well as providing special programs and community outreach efforts to address solid waste issues. Some of these programs include phone book recycling, Christmas tree recycling, household hazardous waste collection programs, and educational programs presented at the Authority’s Education Center.

The impact of the cost of disposal to the average York County family represents about $2.27 per week. This is based on the average household waste generation rate of about 2 tons of trash per year.

Revenue from the sale of electricity produced at the Resource Recovery Center also helps to stabilize the cost of waste disposal in York County.

Cost to Deliver Garbage and/or Leaf and Yard Waste To The RRC:

York County residents may dispose of combustible waste and leaf/yard waste at the Resource Recovery Center. The “per ton” cost to dispose of these waste streams at the Resource Recovery Center is $59 per ton. The minimum fee to dispose of waste at the Resource Recovery Center is $10 (up to 320 pounds). From 320 pounds the cost is assessed proportionately. For example, the cost to dispose of 1/2 ton of waste is $29.50

Note: Leaf and yard waste delivered to the RRC is weighed in, billed and then directed to the Authority’s Yard Waste Transfer Facility.
