CITY OF SPARKS
On October 26, 2015, the Sparks City Council approved the single-stream recycling program to make recycling easy and convenient for residents, and to increase recycling participation within the city. Sparks’ residential customers will receive their recycling cart between late November 2015 and late January 2016. We are unable to provide specific delivery dates. Together, we are leading the way to a greener Sparks.
WASHOE COUNTY
Waste Management is working closely with government officials in Washoe County to approve the Single-Stream Recycling Program. It can only be implemented through an enhancement to Waste Management’s contract with the municipality. Waste Management does not have the authority to make unilateral changes to our municipal contract. In order for the Single-Stream Recycling Program to become a reality in this area, we need the public’s support. You can contact your elected officials by letting them know you want Single-Stream Recycling to be implemented in Washoe County.
