RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

Residential

Rock River Disposal is proud to serve the City of Rockford, the industrial and cultural center of north central Illinois.

TRASH

  • Household trash is unlimited, along with unlimited bulk items to be picked up.
  • 13 to 40 gallon containers or bags can be used, weighing less than 50 lbs. each.
  • There is a charge for an excessive clean up of a residential property. A $25.00 per hopper extra after the first hopper will be billed to the resident by the City of Rockford. For example, if there are 4 extra hoppers required, $75.00 ($25.00 x 3) will be charged to the residential property.

RECYCLING

Household recycling is unlimited. A blue recycling can is provided by Rock River Disposal to all residents. Residents may purchase additional blue recycling cans at a cost of $17/each by contacting Rock River Disposal. The use of trash cans to hold recycling is not acceptable. YARD WASTE
Household yard waste is unlimited. Yard waste is all grass clippings, leaves and small branches from a residential property. All trimmings from bushes and small tree branches need to be bundled in 3′-4′ lengths with branches no thicker than 4” in diameter and not weighing over 25 lbs. No plastic bags of any kind will be accepted for pick up. There is a 50 lb. weight limit for all bags and cans with an X of yard waste. Yard Waste season runs typically from the beginning of April to the end of November.
