The Niagara Frontier Section of the Air and Waste Management Association (AWMA NFS) is a non-profit organization for people involved in the environmental profession consisting of individual and corporate members from the Western New York area. Members come from local universities, governments, NYS Department of Conservation (NYSDEC), local industries, environmental engineering/consulting, legal firms and analytical testing.
The Niagara Frontier is the Section of the Air & Waste Management Association located in Western New York. The Niagara Frontier Section includes the chapter known as the Genessee Fingers Lake Chapter of AWMA (GFLC AWMA).Locally the AWMA NFS is involved in several areas which directly aid and promote environmental activities, including: monthly dinner meetings with guest topic speakers, an annual day-long environmental education seminar, scholarships for college students, Dave Sauer High School scholarship, Earth Day grants, and Envirun.
