You can obtain an additional trash can or recycle can if needed. The cost will be $9.07, plus tax, for an extra trash can and $1.77 for an extra recycle can. This monthly charge will be included on your water bill. Please contact Waste Management at 479-880 –CART (2278) to order additional cans.

Replacement fees for missing trash or recycle cans are billed to the customer at $50 per can. Please avoid these charges by being responsible for your trash container. It is suggested you set your cans out for pickup no more than 24 hrs before your scheduled pick up day and return them to a secure location as soon as possible after they have been emptied.

Recycling Program Tips

The recycle facility is located on adjacent to the Animal Shelter and the compost facility, where you can purchase low-cost mulch by the backhoe bucket full. There are other Recycling/Donation facilities located in Russellville.

Print these and post at your home.

The following items are acceptable at the recycle facility:

• Paper - any non-contaminated papers
• Plastic bottles and bags #1 - #7 (please rinse)
• Plastic bags and sheeting
• Plastic and metal banding
• Aluminum, steel and tin cans (please rinse)
• Clean foil and tin pie pans
• Boxes and cardboard (no wax-coated boxes)

The following items are NOT acceptable at the recycle facility:

• No glass - light bulbs, mirrors, bottles, etc.
• No styrofoam
• No pizza boxes
• No type of food/waste debris
• No clothing
• No liquids
• No tissue paper, paper towels, napkins
• No carpet or wood
• No diapers
