Waste Management Labor Day Schedule

NOTE: New Tampa residents are encouraged to contact Hillsborough County Solid Waste Management at (813) 272-5680 for their holiday collection schedule.

Tampa, Fla. (August 27, 2015) – The collection schedule for City of Tampa customers with regularly scheduled collection day on Monday, September 7, 2015 will be affected by the Labor Day Holiday. The modified holiday collection schedule is as follows:

• Residential: There will be no garbage, yard-waste, or recycling collection on Monday, September 7, 2015. Garbage collection will resume on the next scheduled service day, Thursday, September 10, 2015, and yard-waste and recycling collection will resume on Monday, September 14, 2015.
• Commercial: Commercial dumpster and roll-off accounts scheduled for service on Monday, September 7, 2015 will be serviced on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Commercial dumpster and roll-off collection services will run one day late, for the remainder of the week, through Saturday, September 12, 2015.

Commercial customers with 95/65 gallon cart service on Monday, September 7, 2015 will receive service on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Commercial customers with 95/65 gallon cart service on Tuesday-Friday will receive normal service on their scheduled collection day.

• McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House will be closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2015, and the normal schedule will resume on Tuesday, September 8, 2015.

Please be reminded that make-up collection service also occurs after the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays.
