The count down has begun! Several hundred volunteers and committee members are working furiously to have everything ready for the 18th of December. We hope to see you then!

The PanIIT 2008 committee is beefing up security arrangements for the event, in close collaboration with the Director General of Police, CISF and the IIT Madras Administration. We are committed to making your participation safe and secure.

Book Launch
"Reflections by IITians" has been published by Ram Krishnaswamy, alumnus of IITM, and authored by 36 alumni from all over the world.

The book will be officially launched by Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Chairman Atomic Energy Commission and Chairman of the Board of Governors of IIT Bombay and a panel of IIT Directors, at the inaugral session of the PanIIT 2008 meet on Dec 19.

Play Chess with Vishy
Vishwanath AnandVishwanath Anand is coming to PanIIT 2008! Fresh from his success as a three-time World Champion, Anand will be felicitated at the conference, and will then play Rapid Chess simultaneously on 14 tables. This event is being organized as part of the Family Track program.

Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship This track will attempt to identify major gaps in the system that stifle entrepreneurship in India, and see how solutions can be found in general and in particular by IITs and IITians.

Apart from the three sessions in this track, there is an incubate exhibition showcasing early stage IITian founded businesses, and a Business Plan Conclave organized jointly with TiE Global.
